National Novel Writing Month October 31, 2017 – Posted in: Uncategorized – Tags: , , , , , ,

November 1st kicks off National Novel Writing Month, or NaNoWriMo for short. What’s it all about? I’m glad you asked! Throughout the month of November you’ll challenge yourself to write at least 50,000 words on a novel, or roughly 1,667 words a day. You can write as much or as little per day as you like so long as you get to 50,000 words by November 30th! Lots of novels have been written (and published!) using this method. Heard of The Forest of Hands and Teeth? The Night Circus? Side Effects May Vary? Anna and the French Kiss? All NaNoWriMo books! Our publisher, Madeline Smoot, is participating this year! Will you be joining her? Have you done NaNoWriMo in the past and have some words of advice or encouragement for those participating this year? Let us know in the comments!
